Just been to the shops in the Fabia with a bit of 80s music up a bit loud! In fact at max volume on the Symphony and I think I've blown the speakers as all of a sudden the sound stopped! The HU is still working what's up with it and what should I upgrade it to?

I saw this on ebay, should be plug and play apart from the parcel shelf mod and the dual boot floor mod.

If not,

2 way front components - 62mm or less mounting depth. (needs spacers either MDF or Autoleads etc).

Highest power decent 2 channel amp under passenger seat driving the front compos.

Leave rear speakers as is. Fade them out mostly.

Some form of sub.

Head unit with a good EQ setup to tweak any lumpy bits.

I managed to pick up a set of Morel Tempo 6 Components from Ebay they retail at about £250 but I paid £140 almost brand new just missing the tweeter grills which I didn't need anyway. They are a really fantastic set of speakers which a massive improvement over the standards, I had to use 2 mdf spacers even then the clearance is very tight.

I also used some sound deadening on the front doors I didn't go over the top with, just used it mainly to stop any resonance and also any door card rattle.

I then managed to pick up a DLS CA 51 5 channel amp(that I haven't got round to fitting yet) second hand for £85, again from eBay.

I'm always hearing good thing about the Pioneer DEH 80PRS head unit, it's one of the best on the market for sound quality at that price (£250), but for me it's a toss up between that and the Alpine IDE - 178Bt. Another good head unit but not quite the quality and tune ability of the Pioneer but it doesn't cost as much as still ticks all my boxes.

Have a good look around on eBay chap there is plenty of bargains to be had especially if you know roughly what you want and what your budget is.
