I need to replace the n/s (passenger side) headlamp unit on my Mk1 Octavia estate and was hoping to find some advice on how to do so on this forum. But I can't find anything ! Grateful if someone could point me in the right direction.

2 minute job:

 

- Unbolt the indicator (1 bolt), twist the bulb holder out and pull the casing off the vehicle.

- Unbolt headlight (3 bolts), un-clip wiring, pull casing off the vehicle.

 

Simply reverse the procedure to re-fit

Theres a sneaky 4th bolt near where the indicator sat which is fiddly so watch out for that one.

 

The wiring harness connector.  Use a flat screwdriver on this and 'lift' the tab towards the windscreen to release it, i.e. away from you if youre stood at the front of the car

Xenon light but I assume fixings are the same.

Plus as your car is pre-facelife, make sure the replacement unit is from a pre-fl vehicle too, as the headlight shape changed.
