I need to be able to take the chassis number a.k.a the VIN imprint on a paper by rubbing a pencil against the paper. I am not able to find the engraved VIN under the bonnet to take imprint. Can someone please let me know where exactly is the vin located and a pic of that location as well will help.

My skoda is a 2009 1.8 TSI

Why would you want to use that method?

Take a picture on your phone instead, it's much easier....

Write it on a bit of paper??

Its on the bottom left side of the windscreen seen from the outside, and inside the cover of your service manual
