Is 80k miles high for a 07reg oct?

Featured Replies

My 07 had 80 k on it in January when I bought it.... now its got 100k on it.

My wifes 02' furby has done just short of 55k :P some of us obviously prefer to just look at our cars than drive them.

My 53 has 115k

I've never understood why "low mileage" is such a great selling point. I'd much rather a (cheaper) ex rep-mobile that's spent most of it's days in cruise control on the motorways, with the engine getting up to temperature, dpf regenerating etc than Mrs miggins' 1,000 miles a year car that spends it's life being bounced over the speed bumps at tesco and the pot holes in there church car park, has all the emissions gear clogged up, a rusty exhaust, mayo in the oil etc because it never gets up to operating temperature...

I agree with this comment as I bought my 2008 Octavia with 97,000 on it, it was owned by TBS bank middle management car apparently belt changed at 86,000. Has 135,000

on it now Iv'e had it 3yrs and only replaced the back shockers in that time [leaking]

and only issue that is bugging me now is the self levelling xenon's don't auto level just stay down ? other than that its a top motor

Agree...and most ex taxis will be like Mrs miggins too

My 2006 vRS TFSI has 121,000 on the clock at stage 2.

Feels nice and tight still; also puts out good power on RR days, also pulls well by the 'butt dyno.'

Car is serviced every 3000-4500 miles; body work is polished and sealed on a regular basis. Really doesn't look like a car with 120,000 + miles on the clock. Evidently I have seen cars with half my mileage and age which sound rough, smoke; look flat and covered in dents.

Buy on condition; plus a well maintained petrol will hit 200,000 + miles too.
