Interior Change

Featured Replies

I'm looking to make the interior of my VRS a little less drab, any good ideas?

I'm thinking new seats, spraying some of the surrounds gloss black, also looking for something to replace the blanking Plates above the stereo.

All ideas and pictures welcome :)

New seats works wonders.

Leather seats and door trims. :)

Ive seen some of the leather VRS seats on here and they look really nice, I would assume they have been reupholstered

I've got customer leathers and a set of track day seats too. Have wrapped the grille surrounds in gloss black and changed the colours of the dash LEDs. Will post pics later

Im selling my 2010 ibiza sport seats, similar to fabia sport only hold you better. Mint condition :)

I will have a look see if I can find them

Hi Holly,

Not to diss the current direction you have with blanco, of course have a look at those (easiest way to find a members posts is via their profile, don't bother searching). They will fit right in so thats a nice simple option.

Just my tenneth on this. Quite a few of us, many many thanks to Pulse for leading the way forward have gone down the Recaro route, colour concept for me

I can't imagine another option now, the Recaros are just so nice, even if they were bargain basement and probably a few years old, they have stood the wear and test of time well.

Just to mention if you needed a bit of hand IF you find a Golf set, its not the most difficult thing in the world to convert if you are practical

(you do need donor front seat bases though but I picked up mint set for around £50, or just use your own minging seats lol)

I was patient, bought the donors fairly cheap as standard seats for the bases. Got my lovely Recaros for £210. Then sold my almost perfectly cleaned seats for £150. So leather very nice seats for not really much beyond £100 ish, its got to make sense. You may have to wait for the perfect auctions though.

Mine were perfect purchase though because - they were yellow concept, my cars yellow, and I suppose the interest may have been minimal because of this !!! I guess the state of the seats was perfect for me because the cars 8 yrs old now (2006), 115K miles, why spend a grand on seats on a car that you could literally count on a few digits what its worth now, it won't go up in price because of chucking money about on seats.

"Practical" spending I would call it. I wish my wife understood this !!!!

Thanks for the advice,

I'm looking at all my options, I'm just very picky :)

I'm very keen on the custom reupholstered vrs seats I have seen on here especially with the green stitching. However I debating how much to actually spend as the back seats will have a seat cover on most of the time due to small people :) I would hate to have a breakdown because I've just spent silly money on a set of seats and a few weeks later they have marks all over them.

I will keep my eyes posted for a good bargain, I like the leather recaros and on the plus side they will wipe clean. I'm hoping to get myself to a few meets so I can have a nosy at other peoples.

I would have no idea how to convert them but then I've never tried,  would assume there is a thread on here which explains.

Im looking at some mk4 golf recaros at the moment - iv seen a fair bit on fitting and the usual on swapping the rails from a donor. but not much mention of the rear seats - if fitted would i still have the function of dropping the seats down flat?

..and sorry fr the thread hijack! lol
