  • Shot this one bloke in the face and went round his house and burned  it down with his family inside.    Apparently the rear screen demister is to keep your hands warm while you push it.   Punk!

  • I'm with Grr666 show 'em the boot say it's big enough for 3 bodies, a bag of lime, shovels and ropes. It'll tow a wood chipper too!

  • I get funny comments on track days, until the first time it leaves the pit lane...

Don't you think you're getting a bit old for this poop Harold..

Bit of a pointless thread imo, Skoda's have moved on, other car owners have moved on, you lot need to as well, (and buy a golf.. :D ) besides white van man will win everytime

Don't forget Audi too :notme:

:finger:

A guy asked me on a Spanish caravan site if I have a cover on my car to " To cover the badge to avoid the embarrassment of driving a Skoda ". The hospital said he only had bruising.

There is however a certain type of member who seems to think people are looking down on their car when they are not .

This guy was clearly taking thanking the **** .

Mellyboy, clearly, that obvious inteterpretation is certainly erroneous! Nobody was looking down on anything, just a good humored banter of course! *sigh*

I've never had a derogatory comment. And I'm from snobsville - essex.

That's because you leave before anybody wakes up and come back when it's dark so nobody knows you driving Skoda ;):D

Once you get used to the people spitting at you in the street, it's not so bad

I attempted to have a Rangey in the 1.2 you can guess it didn't end well!

Is that a local term for a Powys or Clwyd girl? ;)

It is now exactly one month since I got my Skoda Rapid Sport and I have had nothing but praiseworthy comments about the car.   In fact, strangers have stopped me and asked me about it and don't seem to believe it has a Skoda badge!

The build quality is first class, it looks smart and, whilst it will never set the world on fire compared with the cars driven by the VRS boys, "Roger Rapid" can kick off the shackles and motor when I want him to!

Interesting reading about the Bentley being a vag - so is Lamborghini!

  • 2 weeks later...

Il start with mine to get things going

Im there minding my own buisness cleaning my car (fabia vrs mk1)

when I hear someone shout

"YOUR WASTING YOUR TIME CLEANING THAT"

I look up and its my neighbour

( BMW owner)

So I open my driver door and throw him the keys and said jump in.

He takes it up 2 streets and says

"Hmm I didn't expect that!"

And soon shuts the **** up. [emoji23] lol

He ended up taking it for an extended drive as it was so much more "fun" than his 320d

(Got 1 for team skoda [emoji123])

Lol I've recently had 2 Beemer drivers try to embarrass me including one guy in a 63 plate M sport. The look on there faces when I showed them who's boss, more than makes up for all the little snidely comments.

Like they say Karma is a biatch, divine retribution lol.

I was the first person in our company to ask for a Skoda as my next company car. Our financial director was also reluctant but once he had seen a Superb demo car he kindly ordered a Superb Elegance for me. The MD of the company I work for was not at all pleased that I was the first person to ask for a Skoda as my next company car either, but by now it was too late to cancel the order so I now have a Superb Elegance.

A few months ago the MD asked if I could give him a lift to a restaurant, I reminded him it would be in the Skoda which he seemed ok with. About 1 minute down the road he said "the sat nav is basically the same as the one in my Bentley" so I gently reminded him both Skoda and Bentley are both owned by the VW Group so they may well share other components under the skin - who knows.

Strangely he didn't say much for the remainder of the journey.

The Skoda Columbus and his 2012 Bentley Continental sat nav use the same graphics and software etc,

Lol guess who isn't getting a pay rise at the end of the year. You've messed with his mojo.
