Which spiders are best to go for on an estate 16s or 17s ? is there any pros or cons to the ride or just get what i can as they are getting hard to find now .

I have 17's on mine and lowered on fk coilies and I'm my eyes (for the time I have drove it because of the turbo going bang) it's spot on not too harsh, I had a Leon diesel before the octie, that was on fk coilies as well and on 18" bbs ch wheels and that was harsh as out so I say go for the 17's

17" is a good comprise between looks and sidewall depth, whilst still allowing for more useful disk sizes

 

Downside is a price hike - 16" tyres are circa £30 less each

I've got a hatch on coil overs, everything is great till you get to the speed bumps and the pot holes around here, hence I'm going down to 16" for the added sidewall which takes away the jolt from the holes and bumps
