I must admit - it's a common theme at the moment....

 

My mate who just bought his RS3 asked me to prepare a list for maintenance detailing gear.

Even with the Black Friday sales - he spent a few £££ getting started!!!! Ouch!  :peek:

I honestly dread to think what I've spent over the last few years on detailing products and equipment.. early heart attack thinking is that [emoji12]

Not worth adding up is it.... it would be a scary number; but hey - its a hobby I love and money I enjoy spending!

 

Well - the dude with the RS3 still managed to spend about £200 I think - but he had nothing except a jetwasher, sponge!!! and 2 buckets basically.

 

I even managed to clear some space on my detailing shelves and gave him some half bottle products away for free.

Some shampoo, tyre dressing, applicators and detailing brushes ..... so he's made a good start!

Likewise mate. Great hobby & worth spending money on it!

Glad he's got his feet into it and wanting to look after that lovely machine of his! Great of you to help him out aswell!

It is a lovely machine.... looking forward to the first detailing day with it!

 

Second modification completed on it yesterday infact.

Over lunch we installed a wireless phone charger in the centre armrest storage box.

That sounds a good mod. My next mod is a dash cam fitted I think.. depends what SWMBO gets me for Christmas!

Just to update the thread if you don't mind Stephen..

Marc Linekar at KKD has been fairly busy introducing some new products recently & in testing with older products hoping to release Version 2 of the already good products such as 'Brakeaway' wheel cleaner & 'Citrus Magic' Prewash.

One that was released a while back was the Hydrophobic Glass Cleaner - Seems to be the way most companies are going now as an addition to normal glass cleaners. Obviously exterior only!

Also introduced a 'Matte' range.. don't know if it's any use to anyone on here but there is the Quick detailer, Seal & wax. Just thought to update incase anyone was thinking of matt wraps etc.

I follow KKD quite a lot on updates so will keep on top of the thread and update when necessary.

Only issue i have with KKD is that the pricing is creeping up and fewer deals and GB's.

Yes, I have to agree on the pricing.. seems to be going up every so slightly. I would imagine the v2 products will be more expensive too..

I still have my sample pot of that somewhere.. have to dig it out!
