Dual Action Polishers - newbie advice please

Featured Replies

As i may already have said, i like a clean car, but am just slightly lazy when it comes to polish and wax.

I have just spent a couple of hot hours polishing with SRP, in readiness for a top coat of collinite.  And remembered why I don't do it often :)

So, my thoughts have turned to a Dual Action Polisher or similar.

Any recommendations ?  Cheap :)  but not rubbish

Are there any drawbacks or things I should be aware of?

and most importantly, will it save my arm from aching so much :)

There are a few on the market

Rather than tell you about them all...Have a read here:

http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/polishing-machines/cat_68.html

This will help you decide your budget and what youre going to use it for

Then read this:

http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/what-does-polishing-do.html

This will give you all the information you need to get started

Failing this...I can give instruction if youre near West Yorks

I may have one for sale only been used around 10 times and is around 3 month old.

If your interested.

As for making it easier I would say yes massively easier than by hand, cuts waxing/sealing/polishing down by half. Plus the results are far better than by hand.

as many will tell you a bit of common sense and you won't do any damage.

Great links Chris - thanks. Unfortunately, I'm a fair distance from you but if I am passing, I'll book in for a detail and some lessons :)

Dinski, I'll PM about the offer - thanks
