Is Seat Ibiza wheel arch liner a direct fir to fabia vrs?

Featured Replies

hi guys

my drivers side wheel arch liner is a bit worse for wear and a section is actually missing from the front of it so I would like to replace it soon, but if the seat Ibiza one is a direct replacement then I might as well get one of those instead.

I plan on keeping the side mount intercooler for a while and have been told that the vent can make it a little more efficient

so my question is will it fit directly? and if not does it require a lot of modification to fit?

thanks

Ryan

Just get a Fabia one and cut some holes in it to make a vent

useful. if it's being replaced anyway, and an Ibiza arch liner fits and has the vent there already, what's the point in fitting a Fabia arch liner and cutting some holes in it??

That's the thing, he doesn't know if the Ibiza one fits. Looking on ebay the underside where the bumper/ undertray fits looks like a slightly different shape. It may fit but as he only wants it for the vent he may as well modify the Fabia one.

It's quite a common mod to improve airflow through the intercooler.

thanks for the response guys

indeed that is the reason I was asking, as it needs replacing anyway. so I was wondering if it fits as it would save me a bit of work and they are pretty much the same price too.

if it didn't need replacing I would definitely just do the "pikey vent" mod

Keep us posted on what you find out. :)

I tried my brothers 1.4 sport 05 plate on my 55 plate vrs, wouldn't of fitted (with out a fair amount of modding) as his arch liner went out alot further into the bumper. So put my fabia one back on, would be easier modifying the standard one, speaking from my experience.
