Hi just some advice please,when do i need to change the timing belt on my Octavia diesel its the common rail engine,I've been told at 90000 mile or when the car is 4 year old.What are your thoughts?

I've always done mine at 80,000 mile intervals, but also done the water pump and the pulleys etc as well for full piece of mind

See the first PDF attached to this post - the distance intervals are the factory guidance which is specified in km which is why the figures in miles look odd.

I think skoda has now increased the time to 5 years for cr engines from 2010/2011.

Cars registered from September 2010 it's 5 years. Prior to that it is 4 years.

Finally got SUK to confirm this with the factory last month after getting conflicting information from various sources. Not sure of mileage limit, though.
