Hello. I found the site when looking for information re the Octavia VRS.

I am trying to obtain as much information on this model before I think about purchasing one. However, the way the petrol prices are going I might have to compromise and go for a diesel model and get it chipped!

What, if anything, are the main problems with the VRS and what can go wrong?

Thanks

:wavey: You might find you need major plastic surgery to remove the :D from your face. ;)

Things that spring to mind are coilpacks, but this is only with certain models and I've not heard of one pop for a while on here - dealers all know the "dodgy batches" and will replace all 4 FOC if found on a vRS.

Other than that, they're very reliable cars along with the rest of the marque.

Or wait for the proposed 170bhp Deisel new Octavia RS that is likely to be launched in the future or if size is not important go for a Fabia RS that runs on Deisel.

All of the current Skoda range are very reliable with no major problems regardless of model or engine.
