Early Fabia Skoda badge.

Featured Replies

Almost every early (X or Y reg) Fabia I've seen has a completely black rather than green Skoda badge on the front and back.

I initially thought they'd faded, but after seeing a few more and all on early cars, they actually seem the intended design and seems to be molded black plastic with raised lettering.

Am I going mad here?

Is there a part number for them?

Is that the same one they use for the engine cover?

My W Reg Fabia's Boot badge was an embossed Black plastic backing plate, a Foil Skoda logo then a clear cover . Water ingress over time washed the foil away then you would have a clear plastic cap over the black backing plate.

But also as Charlie said, the Later engine covers had an all black Skoda logo instead of the Green one, i think this happened around 2003/04 where they changed the Euro emission standards
