Need help asap with my headlamps

Featured Replies

hi all,

i was stupid enough to let my dad try to clean my headlamps as they had faded turns out he had got nail varnish remover onto them inside the clear casing and out, so now one of them is completely cloudy and you cannot see into the headlamp, do anyone know any way to fix it? or should i just save up and get myself a new set?

Inside too?  The outside can be rescued,  Done a few furby lamp restorations, but the inside too?  Not even sure how you do that without splitting the lamps apart.

An outside restoration takes about 20 to 25 minutes for a pair.  Wet sand build up, compound, refine, seal.

around £40 to replace, may even find a better deal on eBay

Ive got a spare set and im in Manchester well Westhoughton, can have my set for £30. I only put them in loft last week. send me a PM if your intrested.

cheers Sam

Are you sure its both sides of the lens' which are cloudy?  It could simply be the outside and the varnish remover or whatever simply did nothing - Needs a good cut and polish! :)
