Picked up my 1999 Octavia SLX TDI 110 Estate yesterday, drove 90 miles to pick it up form Haylsden Skoda, It only has 54k on the clock, with a full service and cam belt a years Skoda Warrantee and breakdown cover all for under 5K .

I had not even seen the car before I bought it (photos only) and had never driven one so I was taking a leap of faith. I must admit I am already impressed, it pulls really well, much better than the 1.8 16v Escort I just got rid of, and what surprised me even more was how it goes round corners Ok you don't get a huge amount of feedback, but I really was not expecting much from a large car so I was pleasantly surprised when I left the motorway and Hit the country lanes back to my house that the ride is really comfortable, the best bit I averaged 56mpg .

1 day down and not at all disappointed, the wife is trying it out today so waiting to see what she thinks don't think she will have any problems.
