The chrome end of the exhaust pipe has become discoloured and stained any recommendations for cleaning it and keeping it nice and shiny?

Autosol Metal Polish works a treat. Fairly cheap too.

If it's badly oxidised may need rubbing in with something more aggressive than a microfiber, I'll let someone else say as I have never used anything more than a microfiber with it.

Another one here for autosol, the stainless exhaust trim on my bike was discoloured

when I bought it and looks like new now after 5 mins with Autosol.It's been around

for donkeys years. I was using it to clean motorcycle exhausts 20 years ago.

Yes, brilliant stuff.

I even remember my father using it on his motorcycle more than 50 years ago.

Called Solvol Autosol then.

Autosol is great and easy and cheap to find in most autofactors and Halfrauds etc

Well it looks like Autosol is the stuff to get, thanks all.

Autosol is always at hand when i'm detailing; especially for any tough chrome or exhaust work.

 

But, as Ben says above - the Britemax Metal Twins are really good alternative to clean and seal chrome exhausts
