Front seat airbags

Featured Replies

Hi, does anyone know, with the car stopped and key out, can you disconnect the seat airbag connection and after doing some work on the seat, plug it back in, without triggering a fault ?

It may trigger a fault code Clive, but can be cleared by your local VCDS owner ;)

Thanks Barrie. Who would be the local VCDS owner ?  Is that a wink wink say no more.  :nerd:

Aye. Let me know if you get a fault light on the dash, and I'll call in and reset the codes.

Seats changed for some Golf mk4 Velour ones. Yes fault light came on. Connected the electrics up with those little blue connectors. Still showed fault with VCDS. OK had to redo everything again, this time I soldered the wires together to make sure of a good connection. VCDS back on, yippee, fault cleared. Thanks Barrie (what a nice guy).
