Noticed the Spaceback is devoid of the storage boxes either side of the boot, despite the slots being there (unlike the Monte where they are standard).

 

Have spoken to the dealer parts department and they are available but would need to come from Europe, so I've ordered them; six parts in total, items 10 and 11 in photo

 

Left side;

Also ordered the side net that I assume clips into the four slots in the side of the RH plastic boot trim, as its also available to order from European stock; item 15.

The side net was approx £15 and the six other parts came to around £8 or so in total; forgot to write down the exact cost during the phone call.

Dealing with the parts department at Horton Lincoln and they very quickly identified the parts on their system and confirmed the numbers I have and that we were both working off the same parts illustration. They seem to feel there should be no issue getting the items required, as stated they're in the system but not held in UK based stock.

Skoda UK from own experience are known for blocking access to some items in the parts bin, even simple things like boot trim accessories. Have previously asked why the restrictions and they say lack of demand; well if your not advertising or offing it as an option in the first place there won't be a demand  :wonder: 

 

Anyway we will see how the Horton people get on; hoping to have the bits here early next week.

Should be able to remove the armrest, probably by removing the end caps (23 & 24) to expose the bolts and fill in the hole left in the console with item 11 (in the aproprate colour for your trim).

Horton parts have rang to say the Spaceback boot trims are in and ready to collect. Will pick them up tomorrow, as I've a trip to make into Lincolnshire anyway but I'll be in the Monte, so the trial fit to make sure they're correct will have to wait until I'm home.

Are the storage boxes not standard on the notchback Rapid; seemed to think they were :wonder:

 

If not I can fin the numbers.

 

Unfortunately there is no small fixed net shown.

I fancy the 2 side dividers for the sides and then I could fit a fire ext in there, we are going to see how we go on with the centre arm rest as we have it pointed up at the moment, are there any underseat storage boxes available or is the seat locking handle in the way ?  cheers - Stuart

Had a look in the parts book and I haven't as yet found any under-seat draws/boxes.

Hi bidey we still have it fitted as the wife is getting used to it,how are you finding the rapid ?

Just ordered all the bits for the two boot storage boxes and for the net pocket. Thanks to The Plumber for finding the part numbers and for the pics of them fitted.

 

Had the same type of storage boxes in my last car (Citroen C4) they are unbelievably useful and I've definitely missed not having them since I switched to the Spaceback. Local dealer parts counter reckons everything should arrive by the end of the week, which is encouraging.

Parts arrived this morning at my local dealership as planned, so I popped in on the way to work and picked them up, now all fitted to the car:
