in an Octy vRS.

The steering took a bit of getting used to as it was heavier than the fab and the power delivery is the complete opposite to mine also! Great smooth acceleration though..

The car in question is silver 03 plate with 9000miles and the deal was

I reckon that

It seems a prettty good price and i probably could have got more off as I know they need to shift it soon.

According to the dealer, trade in price for my fab is

Definately yes to parking sensors. Cruise control is nice, but not much use if you're not much on motorways.

A great big YES to parking sensors,I also find the cruise very usefull -- esp in 30 zones so I can hold the speed rather than creep into 40 or 50 mph!

Don't forget you can get cruise fitted if you wish.

BTW I thought mudflaps were standard -- I got them on mine without even asking!

They are for the off road version of the vRS - ie the one for people who don't have garages for their vRSs... wink.gif

I had to pay for my mudflaps!

How much are the sill protectors?

Front mud flaps

The parking sensors are body coloured and mounted just below the black rubbing strip.

So ignoring the part ex thing for a minute, I could get a new vRS with metallic paint (

I think that's pretty good too...but hey don't ask.....don't get

Get at least another

Right, I think its time to start playing the different dealers off against one another!

Lets see what they come up with, but i'm not holding out for a lot more discount although you never know!

Maybe you can remove the Koni's and sell them seperate? They probably aren't interested in those sort of mods, but I'm sure peeps here are.

Fabia TDi,

I found the best price for my L&K spec on Showroom4Cars website and took it to my local dealer, who not only agreed to match the price but also did a special deal on a removeable towbar - I (well the company!) saved about

Parking sensors are a must, even if you don't get anything else. I haven't got them.:(

Rear flaps are standard.

Not sure whether to revert my car back to standard or not. Every dealer I have gone to has been quite enthusiasic about it! Although I could sell the bits and put the cash towards a Jabba remap. (I notice Jabba will revert your car back to standard F.O.C and give you

.... Park sensors seem a sensible idea - are they mounted in the bumper (painted) or in the black plastic bumper trim?

Think they're below the trim on the estate - mounted in the trim on the hatch - could be wrong as mine were dealer fit. BTW - they are great and have a fantastic range. Even sense a 3cm pole on the nearside of the car as I back into me parking space at work...:D ...:(

I think they would look better in the black bumper trim myself, not that it really matters.

I assume this is where the dealer mounts them to save having any paintwork done.

Is it right that the vRS doesnt come with a standard fit alarm?

No alarm as standard, just immobiliser.

Matthew,

you can have parking sensors retro fitted and these will go into the rubbing strip. A must buy as rear view is limited. I find it invaluable.

Cruise also retro fit but next to no Skoda dealer will do it....I think the one Jon uses in Bristol will as well as most Seat dealers.
