Jason (Devonutopia) might be iirc

What for?

i heard heisenberg kits are the best in the world!

I see what you did there.

My mate had a fabia running 269 bhp/400 lb torque and had meth injection installed and when on rolling road produced less power running meth but ran same when used on road :/

Hmm that's odd then. As everything says it should be a lot better on the derv, do you know what eat up he had?

How does it benefit turbo diesels then? I know why it's used on turbo petrols.

Not sure of the setup i know it was mixed 50/50 meth and something else and went in his windscreen wash bottle :/ he had a stage 2 garrett hybrid turbo and all the usual mods

In the exact same way but dervs run higher temps, it helps the diesel burn more efficient too.

Clue: That's not why it's used on turbo petrols.

It's merely a "boost cooler" on a diesel.  Cools down air intake, dense air, more oxygen blah blah.  Meth gives a little more fuel.  I will admit I don't notice much difference on mine but I believe if its cooling the air intake, then all good.  Most of the time, mine just injects tap water.  I do have methanol if I wish make the cocktail a little spicier.

I got my Stage 2 snow performance kit from Jabbasport a long time ago.

Would you recommend in fitting it?

I would recommend it on a fairly highly tuned car.  Might be a bit of a waste if the car has "just a remap".

It's not going to be like 95% of Fabias out there, hence why I asked about if it's any good to go for

Then the answer is yes.  I would think it works best on cars with no FMIC in terms of gains as the boosted air will not get as efficient a cooling from the intercooler. :)

Remember if you get the car mapped for the water/meth and it's highly modified to suit that it won't run so well without it, so you're stuck using it all the time.

Weirdly I ran out at Blyton and forgot to top up as I didn't notice much difference.  Perhaps this is because 10bhp or whatever it might be doesn't have as great a impact at my level of tuning. :)

Does it need to be mapped in then? Could you not use a on/off switch for when you want to use it or does it actually have to be in the map itself?

Sure you can switch it on and off, but if the fuelling isn't changed in the map then it won't do anything when you switch it on!
