Fitted winter tyres between November and March. Meant that the temperature only dipped below 7 Celsius twice in five months and kept the snow away all winter

Only LED DRLs so far, so I guess this is the best! Not a mod but I'm collecting a full set of rubber mats tomorrow, including the boot (£25 off eBay - bargain!).

No laugh - SWMBO likes to sit in the back with her shoes off. She says it makes her feel all ?!?!?!?!?!?!

Haha. The joke's on us you salty old sea dog! Never thought of that. Wink, wink etc. Say no more my goodman!

Which one you got your eye on?

Not got one picked out yet Jake (suggestions welcome)

I was torn between the pioneer ts-wx610A to go in the spare wheel, and the 710a which would've laid across the boot. The 610 is a completely invisible install, and doesn't sacrifice any space in that tiny tiny boot. Important that it's amplified.

Think that only works for 1.8 petrol engine, certainly doesn't work for 2.0 CR140 CFFB engine (I tried it).

DOH!!!!!!!

Would have liked this info on the maxidot. one of the few things I'll miss from the V70 as this is how the cruise works in that.

Cheers

Dave.

What is the part number of your ABS pump you have ?

Might have done something wrong, but when I tried this it didn't work, do I have to do something in the MFD set up ?

MY11 1.8 TSI Combi SE+

Is your instrument cluster having SW version 0406 as stated above as prereq. ?

Is your instrument cluster having SW version 0406 as stated above as prereq. ?

How/where do I find that out ?

How/where do I find that out ?

I think it is listed in VCDS under "instruments"..... mine says "H20 0420" so I'm wondering if mine is software version 0420.

Cheers

What is the part number of your ABS pump you have ?

Out of interest in VCDS my ABS shows as part number 1K0 907 379 BE. Would I be able to enable hill hold on my car???

Yep, HHC and XDS can both be enabled on your car.

Nice one..... So that's something else i need to ask someone to enable for me at the next meet someone has VCDS at. :)

At least if the cruise control display thing doesn't work on my car the HHC and XDS should. :)

Cheers

Dave.

I'm in the process of swapping clusters - the new one I'm fitting has SW 0608 (SW 0406 is the required level), so I don't know if the CC display thing will work. Will post when I get around to it!

So am i right in thinking what I posted earlier about what I found in my VCDS scan is indeed the software version?

Cheers

Dave.

Your HW is H20, your SW is 0420.

Think that only works for 1.8 petrol engine, certainly doesn't work for 2.0 CR140 CFFB engine (I tried it).

I already tried this a few years ago, but it doesn't work on my 1.8 TSI either. In VCDS I read:

Address 17: Instruments (J285)       Labels: 5K0-920-xxx-17.clb

   Part No SW: 3T1 920 841 J    HW: 3T1 920 841 J

   Component: KOMBI         H04 0607

So it seams I have SW version 0607... :'(

So my ABS module P/N is 1K0 907 379 BD, which equates to PR-1AT, UG0/UG3, meaning I don't have HHC, but do have XDS, is that correct ?

Although when I click on adaption, XDS comes up as ERROR, channel 36 not available ?

Also my instruments software is H20 0420, so I can't have the CC speed displayed on the MFD

Is software updateable in the instruments to allow this functionality ? As I have know a tame Skoda tech that could possibly do it for me
