What is normal boost pressure on a octavia vrs?

10psi i believe

Well I've just fitted a boost gauge and it is spiking around 1.5bar

Around 21psi then. Possibly remapped

It should be 1.2 bar as standard

1.2 bar as standard? No chance! I know they can vary, but not by that much. When mine was on a standard map, it was 0.6 bar or 8.7 psi.

21 psi not possibly remaped,deffinatly remaped or someones changed the n75 valve for one that gives a higher boost spike like the n75d or the ecs racing version .

Well the car has been mapped but I don't know buy who as it was done before I got the car but I have done a lot of supporting mods and it is now running 230bhp and 290 ft lb. So this is why I'm wondering what the boost pressure should be

That's some decent output you have from a standard K03S turbo. 1.5 bar peak boost sounds right, so I wouldn't worry about it too much. You could always take some logs using VCDS and see what the requested and actual boost values are.
