Thanks mate, it does take ages like ha! Actually felt good for doing it tho! It's really rewarding!

Looks good from what i can make out on the pics.

Even better that you enjoyed the detailing duties....

Is it just the pictures or has the front bumper has a respray?

The match the the front wing looks iffy on that picture.

Glad you got the satisfaction and enjoyment, I also find it very rewarding and fun. That's why it's my hobby.

Again well done!

I've not got a keen eye for stuff like this so I've not noticed, could be the light, I've also only had it a couple of weeks, first skoda too so planning on looking after it! And to be honest I really found putting the work in enjoyable! Thanks mate!

Here's some pictures of the bumper see if you can make out a difference and give me an idea to wether it's been sprayed, got the car from a mates garage so no way of contacting the previous owner to find out...

Yeah thanks again, it's really quite relaxing! And getting to stand back after and have that bit of pride is good too! I've gleaned a lot of advice from posts of people on here like yourself and it's really helped! Cheers

Another rear shot! I'm really happy with it, took 4/5 hours but time well spent as you're all already aware!

This may sound like a stupid question but I really don't know, can you do this too much? I'm only home at weekends so looking to do this once a week, is it likely this could damage the car or will it have no effect?

Every time you use a polish, you're removing some microns of clear coat

However, you will only remove 1 to 2 at a time ...so you can do it many times ..with light polishing

With the Megs products you could do it for ever, the 3 step products are at the low end of the market & pretty poor IMO. Hand polishing with the Megs will not remove a micron as it has very little cutting power (if any).

To the OP, well done.

Okay that's great thanks, I'll start looking into the sonax you've mentioned once this runs out, it was more of a buy because I felt like I was neglecting it by not doing something after reading about detailing on here, as I get better I'll start looking at the more upmarket bits, but I'll make sure I have a good look through the threads from yourself and others to ensure I'm doing it right.

Thanks.

Thanks for the well done! I feel like I'm getting there, as I've just mentioned I will progress to the better quality products, just want something easy to use while I get used to the process, thanks for your opinion, I will get up to a better level, just take my time as I don't want to ruin the car.

Thanks.

Yeah I am, thanks.

Erm I may have to read some threads to find out just exactly what a dual action polisher is! (Clearly I'm still learning the ropes ha!)

Well Chris I've actually been thinking about that, I'm only in the north east and I've seen your offers on here, was thinking if I got you to do some work as I'm there I can pick up the pointers first hand! money is a bit tight as just proposed and moved into a house but I'll definitely be more flush closer to your offer deadline, and I'll be sure to read that post,

Thanks,

Carl.

You won't regret it, chris has helped me out many a time and given me some great advice in the short time I've known him.

Hell of nice guy too.
