Walbro fuel pump

I've got that lot but instead of a Walbro pump, there's a Sytec drop-in replacement instead, as well as a ported exhaust manifold, as I'm not planning on changing the turbo, so an expensive manifold wasn't worth it for me. Oh, and a stiffer actuator if your one is getting old and weak. My car made 217bhp and 228lbft on R-tech's rollers without the N75 plugged in and only runs around 50% duty cycle at the moment. It needs to be mapped properly though, otherwise you'll get overshooting boost levels.

That's if you just want more power though. I'd think about the rest of the chassis first. More grunt in a straight line in the real world is fun however...

Forge fmic is a limiting factor

How so?

Doesnt flow aswell

Reckon ill get saving for a bigger turbo or hybrid

Id like to grt abiut 260bhp

Maybe go KO4 should see you to 260

No get your setup flowing well and a stage 2 can see 250bhp

Just have to put the right bits on all about flow

I fitted my boost gauge at long last today

Can anyone tell me if its normal gor my boost to hit 1.4bar and then drop off to 1bar and as your get closer to 7krpm it goes to 0.7bar? I always thought it would hold a constant boost? Im sure it used to in my old mk1 rs turbo

Look at a company called beach buggy turbos if you want about 250 ish mate that's what I have now just have to get the map checked now and mine does this as well goes to 1.5 bar then holds at 1.0 bar but I know that my intake cam is one tooth out so I have to fix that

  • Author

This is what mine does almost, it gets up to 1.4 bar then gradually falls to about 0.6bar

If i have an issue that i wqsnt told about when they mapped it ill be properly ****ed off

Boost leak? Actuator? Ill see iff i can get a video up

The ko3s cant hold its boost all the way to 7000rpm its supposed to tail off gradually

Awesome! My mind is at ease lol

Yeah its perfectly normal :)

Mine isn't a normal ko3s though it's a beach buggy turbo k250s which is a ko3s compressor wheel but an rs6 exhaust wheel and an uprated actuator rated to 10 psi

Harold do you have a picture of your exhaust by any chance mate ? I managed to get mine on the ramps the other day and the exhaust looks shocking

Have you had it remapped jimbling?

It had apparently already been stage 2 mapped by jabba Motorsport it's some ones project off here

Ill get a picture up for you mate, really happy with it, its got the perfect sound, not to loud but when you give ut some welly its got a great note to it, you can hear the turbo whistle from it

Was it a miltek ? Or a custom jobbie ?

  • Author

Can you recommend to me the hardware i need to take it a bit further?

  • Author

Jimbling, it a full miltek mate

Where did you get it from as I can't find a 3" miltek anywhere as the one that's on mine is SHOCKEN looks like Stevie wonder welded it together and from the turbo the only connection I have is where it joins to the back box
