weird happening

Featured Replies

I got inthe Yeti today. When I started it it bonged and the message came up, driver assist button not working. When I drove off the direction indicators didnt work or the radio volume. I stopped switched off and restarted and all was ok. Looks like a one off weird electrical glitch, hopefully !

I have ofter heard my Yeti 'bong' and I have NO idea what it's alerting me to as nothing is indicated in the speedo area or the Maxi-dot display.

Mine bongs to tell me it has identified and connected with i-pod or phone by bluetooth.

Annie bongs occasionally.  There's no message, so I think she's just being friendly

The bong is a low battery level warning.

After several random bongs I have  just replaced battery (4 1/2 yrs old) as weather will soon get colder - no more random bongs :D

PS Should have also said signs of battery not turning over engine robustly even with good charge level.

The bong is could be a low battery level warning.

Corrected that for you.  Annie's bong hasn't been that yet. (Yet!)

I had a bing or a bong on start up yesterday, message was low fuel, which was correct as nearly on the vapours. Also had bings for low washer water and service due in the 12 months I have owned sharky.

Had a fail to start on the last Yeti, which needed the help of Skoda Assist. Turned out the battery voltage was just a fraction to low to allow a start. They charged the battery and all was fine. However I got no prior warnings and once charged there were no more problems with the battery to the day I sold it :wonder:

Similarly a few years back one of our previous Fabia's started flashing up warning lights, particularly for power steering and also being difficult to start; again battery related but dead this time due to its age.
