What do xennon lights look like? just picked up my Superb classic and I thought xennons were an extra but my lights have two glass lenses in each side (one of which is the fog light) a sidelight and a one filament lamp ...I take it it is the headlight ...so is the glass lens one a xenon :confused:

do you hav headlight washers? u should be able to tell when you turn them on when it gets a bit darker too

Easiest way to tell is do you have height adjustment inside the car? If yes then they are the regular projector headlamps. If no you have Xenons.

Octy2 can have washers regardless.

yeah i thought u could get washers without them, but if it didnt have washers it would have confirmed no xenons

Yep its got the popout headlamp washers and the light has a "rainbow" above it when you shine it on a wall ......have to admit they are not as bright as I would expect xennons to be.....I will check in a bit but I think there is adjustment in the car

Yep its got the popout headlamp washers and the light has a "rainbow" above it when you shine it on a wall ......have to admit they are not as bright as I would expect xennons to be.....I will check in a bit but I think there is adjustment in the car

If there's adjustment they're probably just projector lamps which can show the rainbow effect as well.

If they are Xenons, they're BRIGHT, and should be very white/blue in colour.

Ah but theres the great thing about skodas (or was until octy 2 came along to throw spanner in the works!) all have more or less the same layout dash and equipment so you can just jump between them.

I agree that the easiest way is to see if you have a height adjuster in the car. It will be next to (and part of) the dashboard illumination brightness adjuster just below the light switch on the right of the steering wheel. If you have an adjuster you don't have Xenons as they are always self adjusters.

According to the brochure I have the Xenons were not available as an option on the Classic or Comfort Superbs. But then nor were the headlight washers that you say you have got!

You will know if you have Xenon - they are very bright (the best headlights I have ever had)

the superbs have a bug eyed style kind of lamps xenon or not, and that the fact that the washer jets where they would be are still there but they are just silver covers and not the actual washer jets i think! ....
