What is a fair price for a 1.2

Featured Replies

I'm looking again ......

Seen an 04 with 60K

What would a fair price be?

I personally wouldn't pay more than £1,500 for a petrol one, don't know if that's harsh or not!

I imagine people advertise them for £3,000 still though!

I'd pay a little more for a 1.2 petrol sport, loved my old one but haven't looked back after a few Vrs's :)

I've got no need for a vRSVwhen 1.8T is done! Actually I've got no use of one of these lol

id just go for a 1.4, either 8V or 16V.

The 8V is very simple and IMO quite bomb proof, very cheap to maintain too, the only reason it was binned was due to the EU emission standards, so tax is a little higher but economy isnt too bad.

16V is a bit more sensitive and needs 98 RON or higher with good oil changes. but is a bit more economical than the 8V.

IMO the 1.2's are a crap lump. designed just to meet the emission standards and nothing else.

but as said i wouldnt pay more than £1500 for a petrol model, unless it was the legendary 2.0L Mustang Slayer
