Hi guys

Is it possible to program via a VCDS for the instrument binnacle (ie speedo/rev counter) to light up permanently?i find that they are quite dark and shadowed so have to turns lights on to illuminate them, which annoys me as I love the DRLs on my FL Octy.

Also I take it I can program the doors to lock automatically above a certain speed-this doesn't seem to be an option on the setup menu?

Door auto-lock is an option on the Maxidot (convenience menu?) - manual page 25..

 

I would also like the instrument lights to be permanently on as they were on my last car (Honda Civic).

Pretty sure VCDS will not adjust the instrument lights on a Škoda (it can on an Audi) but TBH i can’t remember if i have tried it on an Octavia.

I think.. if you speak to eddie he can do something with the dash pod lights.. as he tweaked my cluster to always have the LED's on the needles lit

I must admit I am used to having dash lights on all the time but why don't you just put your side lights on? That lights up the dash
