Hi guys

My dad is thinking of getting the above, but the spec is not very well documented.

Does it come with the pan roof?

You can only get accessories not factory options - been offered spare wheel but @£150 instead of the usual £75

Does anyone have the Black edition specs?

It does have the full sport pack which includes the glass roof and extended tailgate glass, plus nav but beyond that I'm not sure.

 

However IMHO I feel the new SE Sport trim is better value and you dad may wish to consider one of those, plus you can choose from the full range of colours.

    I was under the impression it didn't come with the panoramic roof - like you I've struggled to get a decent list of the specs - even dealership I called up didn't seem to know - there's no mention of the panoramic roof in the spec and it doesn't look like it has one from the website picture. I've asked on this forum as well and it seems as though it doesn't have one.

    Saw one briefly in the showroom at Horton Lincoln a couple of weeks back but didn't get chance of a real good look round the whole spec.

    That's true. I would say it hasn't to be honest.

    Which makes the rapid black edition useless in my opinion. You may as well get a standard rapid sport in black and save yourself some money. Agree the new rapid spaceback sport is better value but I still think it's over-priced for what it is - you can get an audi a3 for only a bit more. Plus I really don't like the alloys on the new spaceback sport - prefer the black edition ones.

    If you add panoramic roof, sunset glass, 17 in wheels, parking sensors and sat nav to the A3 to make it like-for-like spec wise it's over 4 grand more than the Spaceback. Yes, the A3 is a nice car, but I don't think it makes the Spaceback overpriced. Some internet brokers are offering a Spaceback SE Sport 1.2TSI for under £15k..

     

    I like the standard wheels on the SE Sport, but it would be nice if SUK gave us a choice.. still no ray wheels available as a factory fitted option!

    Nor does it mention black roof?? The white one has something be that just black roof??

    Saw a black Rapid Spaceback yesterday funny enough and they actually look REALLY good!!

    Pano roof = tilt and slide. Opens to about half the length of the roof - Found on the Yeti and Superb Estate.

     

    Glass roof = fixed and doesn't open at all - Found on, err, umm, err....... nothing.

     

    Not saying anyone is, just thought it was worth mentioning  :)

    That's true mate, well not quite wedged in yet, it's enjoying the good British summer in the car park at the mo.

     

    Although, being all black the roof and glass all just blend in to one, so I'll let myself off.
