Wow

That's a really good attachment :-)

But, the Honda is only a summer car with little use.

Don't think I can justify the cost/time.

I just need to fix the electrical aerial (snapped) +

Replace the single din stereo...

Ouch!!! Is this your regular MOT centre.... did they talk you through each point in detail?

Emissions..... any ideas on root cause? Its pre-CAT era isnt it?

Structure..... lots of welding, or does it look like previous accident damage?

Suspension....front arms/ball joints only.

Worth spending on all this - or a lost cause? Very sorry to read this Wayne.  :S

Its all fine mate!

Most of the above were advisories on previous MOT - so knew abt it before I bought.

As long as it don't go over £1000 I am content.

Sub £500 I will be very happy:-)

So far the garage quoted £280 fixed :-)

But not sure if it will fix the emission - thy say oil/filter change.

Oil leak - again maybe filter change.

Steering rack unknown so this to add on top of £280.

OK - glad some was expected from previous advisories on last MOT.

Sounds like you knew most of it was at risk then....

Looking forward to seeing it sorted, detailed and on the road mate!

Great day out!!! I loved it - Enjoy :)

Let me have a look at it before you waste  spend money on a respray..........it might just need polishing

Nice car.....i saw a few of these when i worked for honda,i must admit i liked the prelude that followed this the best.i hated the ugly duck that was the last prelude honda made, when that came out james thompson was driving for honda in the touring cars & honda gave him a new tiptronic prelude vti..........he had it a week before he blew the box up,i was the first honda mechanic to strip one down & repair it.  :D Im a big fan of 80s/90s honda's......the vti & 2.3-16 engines were the best, sadly now (as you have found) the bodys are letting them down.....engines will go on for ever!
