Luke (Prelude) back from garage after 2 days.

Couldnt change fuel filter - 30days wait for parts from Honda.

Hopefully the rev going down to 900 then to 1100 in idle (when engine warm) is fixed :-)

For the price of £40 used speakers of 4 - not much difference! :-(

But slighlty crispier in treble and solidier bass :-)

Cant complain really.

And not want to waste money on amp/sub ...

Rain-X with Glass cleaner was rubbish!

So trying this:

1. Rain-X with Glass Cleaner

2. IPA

3. AngelWax H2GO

Why are you using RainX 2- in -1 and then removing the Sealant it applies to the glass with IPA?

Its a Cleaner AND Sealant in one

You would be better just cleaning with a Pure Glass cleaner and then the IPA

  • Author

Simple, Chris

Rain-X is rubbish.

So I just using it as a glass cleaner.

(Rather than binning it - normally I use Mr Muscle Glass Cleaner :-)

Then IPA

Then using the H2GO as sealant :-)

Or have I got that wrong?

Yes..You have

Throw the 2 in 1 RainX away...and JUST USE the IPA to clean the glass

Then use the H2GO

  • Author

H2GO

Amazing stuff!

No need to use wipers this morning at all!

Side windows good comparison:

Front H2GO

Rear nothing

Both covered with overnight rain, but front just beaded away when driving :-)

I've been using that rain-x 2in1 for a couple of years now Wayne, I always found it pretty good myself. Use it on the windscreen and front side windows and over 50mph+ the water just runs off. Also when the windows are frozen, I can scrape them much more easily than without the rain-x.

Maybe its just me, or my car, Jake.

I put 2 layers on front - not much good.

Then add another layer a few days later - wasn't impressed.

Considering, I cleaned and clayed the glass too.

Now H2GO is much much better from my experience :-)

Latest update

I am afraid after me fixing bits n bats on Luke for 3 weeks over Christmas...

...major rust appeared in the boot and rear arches :-(

Decision to SORN Luke and bring out the CRX as a daily car was a reluctant move - as the CRX is far too low to drive on all roads :( :( :(

  • Author

An executive decision was made and to sell the CRX.

CRX sold within 24hours (gone in 48).

A Fabia as a permanent daily car was scuppered at the last minute...

So it s Plan B...
