PD100 turbo/power upgrade help?

Featured Replies

Hi all

Thinking of upgrading the turbo on my PD100, or just after a little more power,

Cars already been mapped (generic map)

Also I've heard and spoke to darkside who say the pd100 injectors are good for a tops of 165-170hp depending on condition and if I change my turbo is this true?

My furby already has egr delete pipe, vrs turbo intake pipe, custom/homemade pd160 intake, decat and muffler delete, or will having my car custom mapped solve my hunger for a bit more power lol not after big figures, my car does pulls away from a standard vrs at the mo but I've seen others with pd100's and custom maps running 145-150hp and I think the car has more to give lol

The mongrel was a PD100 :)

lol I've read the build a few times now lol makes me feel soooo jealous lol

Slightly off  topic, but how much difference does a map on the PD100 make?

Only asking as im looking at having it done in the interim between getting a vrs :)

Cheers,

Erm quite a bit of difference I know a few people with 130 fabia's and another has a polo tdi 130 sport and I've had a few good plays with him and initially of the lights he does pull of quicker than me cz mines an estate but after I'd say 30mph I catch up and overtake but also the pd100's are 5speed so have longer gears, overall mpg around town driving I still get around the 48-52mark and about 60 on the motorway but I can admit I do not drive that light lol, motorway driving after the remap and the few other little bits changed totally picks up very sharply now,

My mum also has the furby as me pd100 elegance estate but standard and the difference between mine and hers is night and day

Remapping a pd 100 is defo worth it defo with a few other little bits makes a good difference

I'm just after a little more now lol
