that a was a quick reply hahah, slight typo on my iPad there haha all fixed now

Seems pointless as you still have to put your key in and turn the ignition on.

Unless I'm missing something?

i was thinking that but if you hide your start button you could use it to confuse people who either attempt to steal your car or you don't want to be able to drive it like a semi immobiliser

But it will still start with just the key unless you disconect the live from the ignition to starter

that is true, still i like the idea of it, would confuse the girlfriend quite abit haha

By all means go for it.

But if your doing it for fun why not have 3 toggle switches with pop up covers all of which need flicking up or down before the push start will work.

On a more serious note you're obviously itching to do stuff on your car.

How about thishttp://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/265343-dash-cam-12v-multi-adaptor-hidden-install-driver-storage-compartment/

Hidden 12v multi adaptor. Really easy to do and useful too.

i like that idea, just need things to plug in, I'm working on an idea on mounting my tom-tom under the dash somewhere as I'm fed up of the marks left on the windscreen, defiantly one to add to the list

Sounds good having a push button start, a lot of people saying it's pointless if you still have to put the key in...

Bmw, merc and most the vw's with push start all need keys still, most with a slot in the dash.

I had it on my vrs when the wire to the starter broke. Had it while the new plug was on order. To me it didn't seem to start properly. It hesitated to start unless the key was held in the start position(to start not run) while I pressed the start button. It was like it had run dry of diesel and did not want to start. Probably not really worth doing
