New vRS owner with a drinkng problem!

Featured Replies

Hello, actually that's not strictly true - it's not mine, it's my wife's.

She has had 2 other Fabia's & lately a Roomster (for over 4 years). We went to change the Roomster for a Fabia, she tested the vRS & loved it!

It is almost 12 months old & we have found it has an oil consumption problem! The car had been registered with Skoda and presumably had a hard life.

I read the threads on oil consuption which is very worrying.

I have had several conversations with the Dealer who assures me that it isn't a 'major' problem as the forum suggests & if run-in properly will not have a problem. Annoyingly the Monte Carlo would be ideal but for some strange reason Skoda don't make it in a DSG which my wife insists on. So, I have done a deal with them to take this car back & ordered one of the last new one's.

It comes at the end of next month, time will tell if I have made the right decision.

Having said that, it's a absolutely brilliant little car & I also love it, hell it's quick!
