Really want steering wheel controls back, so thought that because the ibiza & fabia use a lot of shared parts would one of these fit?

 

I am currently using a Sony aftermarket stereo so can I just plug a connects2 in and then connect up the wheel???

 

Guessing that wouldn't work. A few people on here have wired up a Sony stalk though and attached it under the indicator stalk.

The standard smphony radio is compatible with the ibiza and steering wheel controls, I looked into it a little bit when I had my ibiza cupra and fabia Vrs at the same time.

Seems the wiring isn't there for the controls on the fabia anyway, I'd imagine aftermarket is the way to go.

Ive asked this before and if its anything like a newer golf it would probably need steering wheel, slip ring, possibley ccm and some coding. No doubt as mentioned it would also need wires.

Aftermarket seems easier option
