Hi all, I'm the proud owner of an 05 octavia vrs, 103k on the clock , I'm having an issue with the turbo , it keeps behaving erractically, easiest way to discribe it is, example , I'm doin 40 mph in 3rd gear , revs are at around 2500 I accelerate then around the 3000 rpm mark the turbo kinda slips and hesitates and shoots upto 3500 - 4000 then back down to 3000 mark an then takes off as normal, this happens in all gears but if I take off from stationary and accelerate hard an get the turbo kicking in early on it will happily go through the gears and turbo operates perfect . So very stumped and any advice will be very welcome and I'm in manchester so any recommendations for any turbo specialists will also be welcome, sorry for the mega long thread

You need to get the car scanned with VCDS to determine the exact fault. could try Awesome GTI in irlam.

sound more like a slipping clutch
