Cthe engine - latest changes/failures

Featured Replies

Hi again.

New here, supposed to be picking up my new car on Thursday (racing blue 64 plate vrs estate end of the line model)

But after spending a few days on here I'm starting to get rather nervous and wondering if I should maybe look at alternatives......

I have read ALOT on the forum, lots of stuff from two years ago claiming the cthe engine should solve near all the issues with the previous cave engine but then some more recent posts seem to show this to not be the case.

Has the cthe engine been subject to ongoing development and refinement and what is the most recent failure any one has heard of?

Love the way the car drives and was genuinely excited to have found something fast, petrol, easish on the wallet and practical, my current car an a4 1.9tdi estate while not as quick has been 100% reliable and I just checked in the last 35k with no servicing or the bonnet even having been opened it has used no fuel (no servicing as it was a 1500 car and I wanted it to die so I could get a toy, no such luck! ) dispute now being at 180!

stick with it you will be fine.

Sounds like a nice motor AND THE LAST OF A FEW.

DID YOU GET A GOOD DEAL?

Are you looking to keep it a few years,if so why not invest in the extented warranty

Hoping to keep for the 3.5 years and then swap in for maybe an octavia vrs estate.

Costing me £265 per month on 0% with servicing included for 3 years/30k with £500 down and my awful car as part ex! Think final payment of about 5k if I want to keep the fab...

Had a budget of £300 per Month.... got sat nav, cruse, blue tooth and phone prep and centre arm rest.

Is that with standard alloys.

Yea... I desperately wanted black alloys, but I wanted sat nav and bluetooth more... and with limited stock left.....

Ideally would have been green with black alloys and climate but quite happy with the price paid.

You may find someone else with a new car prepared to Swap Gigaros with you.

Has yours come with Dark Chrome or Silver wheels?

Race Bue with stndard alloys will look great. Haven't tried it on Configurator ,but it looked a great comco on my Octavia vRSMK3.

Std alloy clean up better when washed in my view.

Standard 17" silvers

The Blue with Silver looks great IMO, less like its trying to be sporty,

and if on Standard Suspension height, IMO looks less like it is jacked up.

Go for it!

it will be fine, dont stress.

My CTHE hasn't seen oil from new and is on 8800 miles. It has only dropped 1/4 of the hatching on the dipstick. Good luck with yours.
