Quick detail on the wife's yeti.

Featured Replies

Mt wife's yeti was looking a little unloved and as she drives to harrogate everyday for work she picks up a lot of crap from the country roads.

So today we did a swap she took my yeti and I got hers.

So anyway sprayed it down with the nilfisk jet washer, then snow foamed using off the last of my demon shine snow foam. (Which I don't really rate) I'm glad it's gone.

Then blasted off all the excess dirt from the car, which was a lot of hay and manure that kind of country road dirt.

Then I washed the car with Megs gold class shampoo 2bm Clayed using farecla mitt.

Dryed using woolie mammoth

Then machine polished a few light scratches out with my new DA 21e and chem guys hex logic pad and sonax profiline.

Then I continued to further polish the car using Zaino Z 5 pro.

Which is a nice product although after its recommend 10 mins haze it did go a little chalky.

Finished of the car with opti shine liquid wax. (It's one my wife's uncle is working on) it's a ptfe carnauba blend it's really nice to work with, easy on and off and it has a nice banana scent. Which I only noticed when using it by machine.

Anyway results are in the pic's. I don't think they do it justice but it looks great in the metal.

Need to seal the wheels with fusso yet, but i got a bit tired.

Handed out a couple of 500ml bottles of opti shine to some friends on here so hopefully when they get chance we will hear other people's verdict on the product. Bottle is still in the early stages so design will likely change.

I hope she is a very happy lady when she gets home to see her Yeti

Very nice indeed, it's got a lovely glow to the paint now, well done.

Yeah hope so ste, I certainly felt it after doing that car.

Be sure and keep us updated on how the OptiShine performs going forward.

Looking forwards to some beading pics and durability comments...

Sure thing!

Great work Carl

Youve learnt so much in the last few months

Your passion is showing

Well done

BTW...Applied the Optishine to my bonnet to get a contrast in performance

It goes on and buffs off so easily..really really like it

Will keep you informed how it performs

Speak to you tomorrow re: distribution/sales

Thank you very much!

That's good to know about the wax, hope it delivers on the durability and beading now. It's a good start though :)

It certainly is

looks very nice - good work

re Opti Shine, you might want to check out the name given the entire Optimum range is based around Opti...something naming and is in the same product field. It might be they already have a claim on that name or could possibly cause a problem down the line if it becomes a commercial reality? Might be nothing but IP stuff like this is part of my job and you'd be surprised where issues can come from, especially when the products are in the same field.

Looking really good there, top effort.

Is your uncle already in the business or will this be the first product to market?

An update on the Optishine wax.

Here are a few pics of beading from this morning.

It's really looking like a great product!

How's your test going with it chris?

Yeah agreed chris, it's the temptation to re do and use other products for me, I won't be waiting the 9 weeks to find out if it's still as good.
