Hi all,its been a while since i have posted,not much interesting has happened on the car front for a while...till now.

I had a fabia tdi estate pd100,i have been considering a few vrs upgrades,front hubs and 312mm brakes are ready to fit,just waiting for coilovers and arb to be delivered.
i was offered a asz engine,today,with injectors but no turbo or gearbox,so my question is will the asz engine fit the 02j box via the vr6 clutch/g60 flywheel?
Has anyone attempted this?

I believe it fits yeah, sure a few people have done it on here.

I'm considering it on my Vrs going back to a 5 speed gearbox with g60 flywheel, much better setup than any Vrs 6 speed gearbox for a fraction of the price.

Only reason I'm sticking to the 6 speed gearbox is my lsd.

Just buy the lot, got to be easier.

That was the plan, but if you are starting from scratch I'm not sure a heavy diesel lump is the weapon of choice.

Good as it is, you tend to us it if it's already in there.

Yes.

And for reference there is a set of injectors alone in the "for sale" section for £280...

I noticed that myself and thought of this ^

I know,i could buy the lot,keep the injectors and sell the rest on for the same price.

Although i know it will sit in the garage for the next 6 months and i really should get the clutch sorted first.
