My missus used to have a Vauxhall Omega, and I used to be on that forum all the time 'cos it broke every week. Never been back there since she replaced it with the Fabia though.

Well what do you suspect has been altered?

Are there any vibrant coloured components in the engine bay?

Is there a shiny section to the exhaust?

Any signs of fancy air filter work?

Or are things just sprayed black or wrapped in 'carbon' effect vinyl?

I was going to say - you have the car, surely you can see what is different about it compared to other ones?   What did the person selling it to you say?  Were they the last owner?
