Ah ok mate cheers. Like hens teeth i take it. Wasnt sure if you could buy online or a replica was available. Really like the look of it

You wont get one from Simpsons, they have to buy the full kit everytime they need bodywork. I tried asking for an old one but to no avail. They can be had for around £400. But as said they are like rocking horse **** to get hold of unless you have contacts in the right places.

Could you not find a company to modify/make one? I'm sure you could find a bonnet of a car that's being broken and then make the changes?

I've even  contacted skoda Uk and CZ to enquire if I could buy one and was told they only go direct to rally teams. I am looking for a bonnet and see if i can Blue Peter one. I have a College at my disposal and the departments in it :D

Im looking for one for the weight savings really over the look. They do look good but the weight is whars attracting my attention. As said, they can be had for 400 (think its actually 450) bit they are very rare and the place I know of doesnt have many at all. Skoda wont give you anything like that. You need somebody with the moulds.

wheres this place then?

i would happily pay £450 for the bonnet..

32kofdata, just give me yours :D

Even if I could still it wouldn't fit as it's a pre-facelift. :P

You can get a carbon fibre bonnet made up for around £1,000 including the mold then £400 or so each afterwards.

So if you got a few people together it might be viable.

Didnt know the bonnets were different..

Didnt know the bonnets were different..

EVO1 bonnet is for pre-facelift Fabias and EVO2-EVO3 bonnets are for facelift Fabias.

The reason it is hard to get EVO2 and EVO3 bonnets is because they are still in use.

I got mine relatively easy because the rally teams moved from EVO1 to EVO2 and 3 some years ago meaning that the bonnet was obsolete to them.

The differences between pre-facelift and facelift are at the shape of the bonnet, headlights, grille, bumper and sides. Basically the whole front of the car.

Well there you go! Cheers 32k. Glad ive learnt that lol.

Sod that, that'll bite into the new bike/cars money, second hand bonnet and Blue Peter it is then. What can possibly go wrong :D
