Cruise Control

Featured Replies

Just a quick one guys. In 6th my fabias cruise control doesn't work. Will this just because I'm not travelling a certain speed or something else.

Cheers Luke

Don't know re Fabia. I have had cruise in my Octavia and now in the Superb. It works in 6th.

Should work in any gear when the car is moving. Check if it is switched on (slide switch on stalk pushed away from steering column), then use lower button to try set speed while driving.

If it used to work and does not work now, then faulty stalk is the problem, plastic ribbon carrying copper paths to the switch often cracks, common issue on 2000-2005 cars, I had one replaced in my Mk1 Octy.

Thanks for the replies it worked fine in every other gear just not in 6th it is very awkward to use in the fabia so it could be on its way out. Are they easy enough to replace?
