Small dent help!

Featured Replies

Not sure if this is the best section for this topic.

But basically I've been a bit heavy handed with the yeti today.

The wife had trapped her handbag handle in the boot lock mechanism and I could neither lock or unlock the car with the fob. But the door would not open.

It was almost as if it was in between open and closed, so I gave the boot a bit of a shoulder barge and I've put a small dent in the back.

My question is does anyone have a tool to correct this? I know you can get some sort of a suction plunger tool, thought (hoped someone on here might have one) or I could attempt to take the boot panel off from the inside and push it back out.

Or failing that I pay for a dent repair company.

What's your thoughts?

I took a pic but it's difficult to see it.

It's where the dark line reflection distorts.

sorry about my reflection lol

I would go with a dent repair specialist. If you are like me, not an expert in body repairs, you could easily make the situation worse.

Depends on how deep it is and how hard the metal is on that part, if it's not thick you can push it out gently from the inside until it pops back into shape.

Done this type of thing on my car on the front wheel arches (or whatever they're called in English) and saved quite a lot of money as body repair specialists wanted to charge me more that a wheel arch would have costed new without even repainting so I've had nothing to lose.

Yup I've thought about doing this.

Thank you.

Get a dent repair specialist to do it, it won't cost that much. I had one taken out and it only cost £75.

I used this guy.
