Bolero Acting Up

Featured Replies

I've a 13 plate Octavia Estate. I've notices a few times now that the Bolero is acting up, sometimes freezing. The thing I see messing up most often is the CAR menu. This randomly seems to blank out all the readings and this doesn't come back till it's been switched off. Also today my MPG went a bit crazy, was reading 6.9mpg when i was doing 60 in 5th, not very economic!. I've check the software version and it's 0132, is there an upgrade for me to get form the dealer?

No help to you but I've had all the average speed, mpg, distance etc all go blank but after carrying on for another 10-15mins they all appeared again.

If you flick through the maxidot display you'll find the data is still being recorded despite it not showing on the Bolero and none of the data is lost.

But it shouldn't do it in the first place - best bet is take it to your dealer and get the fault logged with them. You will get the standard 'no fault found' and 'can't reproduce it' responses.

Next time it happens, video it on your phone and email it to your dealer - they will have to do something about it then and escalate to technical. You may then get a firmware upgrade authorised.
