The predictions are that Labour MPs from Scotland could be down to 16 after May.

That's interesting, where are the polls for that coming from? (Link?)

The predicted 'Brown Outs' for Electricity in England seems as though it might happen,

He deserves to be blamed for lots of the mess that this country is in, but I hadn't realised that our worst ever Prime Minister was to blame for the lights going out as well!

No he is not only to blame, the previous Governments, Labour and Conservative are.

They knew well what the Life Expectancies of the Gas & Coal Fired were, and now events are overtaking the Governments abilities to cope.

and were warned on the Nuclear & that is a guddle now.

Lack of Infrastructure is the UK Governments problems and doing.

Throwing  tax payers money at EDF for Hickley Point B is not helping any time soon.

They better put some money into the National Grid and the Interconnectors.

As far as Danny Alexander,

Just go and spend some time in his Constituency,  we can forget the polls his enemies funded earlier in 2014,

we are where we are now, and on the count down to May 2015.

And Scottish Labours own Peers & past Leaders and First Ministers know where they are going.

Did anyone see the results from the fire at Didcott B?

Worrying that a natural gas power plant had so little inbiult fire fighting equipment.

UK only has 15 days of reserve natual gas compared to France's 45 days and has more nuclear than it needs hence supplies most of western europe with power, especially at peak times and even the UK.

Several worrying aspects to the UK's energy policy.

How much is a geny?

Yesterday the UK's Wind Turbines produced more Electricity than Nuclear did, 14.2% compared to 13.2%.

but then there was rather a lot of wind.

& 8 out of the 15 Nuclear Plants are Offline.

Scotland with less than 10% of the Population & 1/3rd of the Land Mass is producing 50% of the UK's Electric Renewables Generation.

Since the Referendum a whole new set of offshore Wind Farms have been approved around the NE Coast of Scotland in the Angus & Fife areas,  Tay & Forth.

Also many onland Wind Farms, new & extensions to.

As more Nuclear & Gas / Coal powered Generators are going off line the UK Government best get their butts in action,

because Putin intends to make life very difficult for the UK / EU sometime soon.

We can probably blame that on anti-nuclear fearmongers and the Watermelon party (green on the outside; Stalinist on the inside).

The Greens can not be blamed for successive UK Government allow the UK Population to pay lots for the Provision of Nuclear energy and letting the Private Companies walk away with the Profits and the Nuclear Reactors now being unsafe and not replaced

& not Fit for Purpose and yet the UK Population need to carry on paying for the Decommission for ever,

even just the not full decommissioning & Clean up of the likes of Chapelcross.

Short term benefits and long term headaches and no coherent energy policies in the past decades and now,

when the British Isles is an Island Nation

made up of 4 Countries might have Importation Issues due to the UK's inward looking Governments.

'Everybody Hates us, Nobody Loves us', so pull up the drawbridge to Johnny Foreigner unless they are filling the Politicians pockets,

avoiding paying Taxes,

& keep paying them to control the Economy of the British Isles.

First things required before you have Productivity & Wealth in the Country is Homes , energy & Food / Water & Energy for Industry & Transportation,

then people working and earning.

The Government could not control the Financial Services & Bankers, and they have lost control of the Utilities & Energy Production,

they are incompetent Government after Government because they are Politicians * Civil Servants and not Business Savvy.

That is in all types of Procurement and Contracts.

They feed their Supporters Bank Accounts, and their Nearest & Dearest without any care for the wider poplations well being or futures.

Some Greens might be crazy,

but not as corrupt as those that are Greedy, and who control things only in the short term and to benefit the few.

I am not anti-nuclear, that is just luddite.   France has the right policy in my view and a very successful nuclear power program which most of western europe is relying on to keep the lights on over the next few years.

Until we adopt DC lighting or scale-up inverters from DC to AC as we cannot effectively store electricity, except by the brillant Dinorwig program (www.electricmountain.co.uk) program we need certain power production but not fossil fuel burning so what is left but nuclear that is reliable?

I've done the safety test/briefing at another gas powerstation.

Don't ask me which siren is which though, as I'll be the one racing to get to the 20 miles clearance zone in case the storage tank blows
