Indicators in the wing mirrors

So I live near a VW dealer and I keep seeing 'new' shape polos with led indicators in their door mirrors. To me they look a similar (if not identical) shape to those on my rapid! Can anyone shed some light on this?

New Fabia has them.. again maybe for Rapid FL.

The door mirrors are the same as my Citigo and they are the same on the new Polo :)

Can we buy a set of polo ones and fit them to our rapid then?

You can but you need to wire them in and also to the control unit I believe ?

Then some coding after. I'm having trouble trying to find some solid information about this :(

So couldn't run a cable from the indicators in the side wings up to the mirrors then?

Not considered that route but maybe having too many lamps in the circuit might overload it?
