Can anyone identify the DSG problem in this video?

Featured Replies

Hi

I am new on this forum; driven by desperation! I have this problem with the DSG gearbox (i think). It seems like the rpm rises in steps. This is most noticeable in fifth gear. VW Australia is fairly bad and seemingly not interested to help me; even going as far as saying it is normal?

Please have a look at the video and tell me what you think.

If there is a problem I don't think it is with the DSG.  More likely engine management?

I wondered that, or perhaps it thinks there is a seventh gear that doesn't exist?

Certainly not normal so perhaps ask skoda uk to get involved?

He is in Australia.

There's a company in Australia that does DSG software upgrades which fixes VW issues.

Is it a 7 speed?

Yes, it is the dreaded DQ200 7 speed DSG unit.

Of its juddering it'll need a clutch pack.

If it's already had that, it's a mechatronics unit
