I like the idea of the v5 engines, there is so much untapped potential there, and alas they are cheap to get hold of too..... Thinking....

There is currently an 02 plate FGF hatch on Gumtree in Watford and a 51 plate FGF in Reading on AutoTrader.

Both with a few scrapes, no air-con and under £700 before haggling.

Not that I keep an eye on such things...

Probably not off the shelf no.. I'm quite old school in making stuff fit where it shouldn't so I could probably cobble something together from pieces I've made myself, the v5 engine is one of those real oddball things which you never really hear of being tuned up by anybody. I don't think I ever recall seeing any bolt on bits for them either.

Neither do I, but that doesn't mean there aren't some.

Was on edition38 a while back. Think it was a mk4 golf iirc

I Googled, there's a site that seems to do a lot with v5s but the superchargers aren't cheap. Talking £3000 or more.
