Featured Replies

Whats the views and reviews on these beasties ?

Seen them pop up and arnt cheap :(

Do they do much lol

I did notice on my rolling road , the engine was having a wiggle lol

They are well worth it in my eyes. Had them on my 1.8t polo gti.

Did it feel any different ?

Or just no possessed wiggly engine in ur bay

I've got them in the mistress mate ;-)

Feels rock steady to me haha

Whats likely hood of garage labour times to fit ?

Big job ?

Dude you don't need them !!

Save your money

They are only slightly shiny

The Fourseason VF copies have more shininess and red bits

Oooo now they are cool :D

Bit more money tho it seems lol

The vibratechnics mounts are very well made items, I fitted them to my felicia out of necessity more than anything t stop the engine moving about, you do get a bit more vibration in the car but it makes a massive difference to the power delivery of the engine, it feels a lot more positive.

I reckon 2hrs to fit them ;-)

You can't really see them in the bay though to be fair!

Over £300 on summat you can't see and don't really need below 350bhp+ anyway...

Its just after seeing the engine bobbing about on the rolling road

Found them for about 260 on ebay , from C&R iirc

Yeah that sounds about right, I paid about. £250 for the left and right pair, although it's the lower one which is most important.

Which is the lower one ?

The dog bone thing that goes on the bottom of the gearbox, it's the mount that resists the axial twisting of the engine.

Like this.

The engine will always be moving around under load due to the laws of physics, if you stiffen the mounts that movement has to go somewhere and that will be the car chassis where it will be felt as vibration. The actual mounting points will be subject to stresses they were never designed for and may suffer metal fatigue and failure in the longer term.

Aaah , i got a dogbone thingy

Mite take a while to wear on mine simon ;)

They found their way onto my want list lol

Now i feel its my duty to have them :D

And abit more realistic than my yummy green tarox :(

Im guessing its the fast road ones and not the comp ones id be getting ?

Lloyd seriously don't bother.

  • Author

:(

Why not bother?

Because his car sits in a garage and he don't have enough power or drive hard enough to warrant an overpriced mount lol

He would be better saving for some more polish lol
