Best spark plugs for a LPG Octy Vrs..?

Featured Replies

Hi ive got a lpg octy vrs and i think its time plugs and coil packs were changed from time to time on idle gives a slight missfire, but any how.. what are the best plugs to use with the lpg kit, i obviously want it to run smooth on petrol and lpg, the two im looking at are Bosch super 4 and NGK lpg laser line...?  opinions?..

Better stay with the original fited spark plugs, but if you want to try something different go for the lpg ones.

Does the misfire only occur on LPG, if it does, look to the LPG kit (probably worn or misaligned lpg injectors) - Sometimes you can even hear the worn injector ticking loudly. My vrs has been on standard petrol plugs (don't know what they are as my local vw specialist fitted them at service time) - should not need special plugs

Well it's not misfired on LPG only on petrol occasionally guessing it's coil packs but going to change plugs either way it's got normal plugs in now and never really have a problem, I think I'm going to go with the Bosch super 4 as they are very good from what I've heard

If it was misfiring due to ignition, this would be more pronounced on LPG - LPG is harder too ignite, which is why you start on petrol.

Have used Bosch super 4 before on my petrol vrs, and can only describe their performance as adequate at best. Have always found NGK good no mater what make of vehicle they went in.

I always go with NGK highly rate them and never had any issues in the many cars I've fitted them to!

I've got the standard coil packs the car came with (I didn't get any re-call notices to change to green ones...).

Car's been converted since Jan 2010.  No problems so far.
